Two students from ÃØÉ«´«Ã½â€™s Fashion Design program have been selected as 2026 Community College Scholars by the Fashion Scholarship Fund (FSF), a highly competitive national program supporting emerging talent in the fashion industry. For the 2026 competition, more than 100 applications were submitted from 14 community colleges across the country, with 32 students selected nationwide.

The FSF selection committee noted the exceptional quality of submissions from West Valley students, particularly the personal video presentations that highlighted students’ resilience, creativity, and commitment to careers in the fashion industry. Each recipient will receive a $5,000 scholarship, participate in mentoring opportunities with industry professionals, and take part in the FSF Virtual Summer Scholar Series. Scholars will also attend an expenses-paid exclusive Fashion Industry Immersive Experience in Los Angeles and New York City this summer.

This national recognition reflects the strength of West Valley’s Fashion Design program and the talent and dedication of its students as they prepare to enter one of the most dynamic creative industries.
